If you have not noticed this already, then you are obviously under a rock. There are two sides in the Democrat’s house: one for Hillary Clinton, one for Barack Obama. There has been much controversy between the two, and in my opinion both of them are a bad choice for the office of the presidency.
It’s not just that. I’ve enjoyed watching these two rivals battle each other, and every time some new attack information comes about, I can’t wait to read. There is only one reason I even attempt to keep up with the Democrats, and that is because whoever wins the nomination, will be running against John McCain. What many people do not seem to be getting is that while Obama and Clinton are battling it out, they are helping John McCain inch closer to leader the two above the margin of error in the polls. And, if you haven’t noticed, it’s working.
Obama has been messing himself up with his pastor and his church. Clinton has messed herself up by not keeping shut and telling stories in which are not true. Both of these actions are hurting each of the candidates. The latest polls that came out today show both the Democratic candidates within the margin of error ahead of John McCain(and actually McCain is leading Clinton).
I have always shown my dislikes toward polls, and here is mine for this one. The people voting are either one of a couple of people. One, a Republican, supporter of McCain or not - they will obviously vote Republican. Two, Republicans who dislike McCain so much that they will not vote, or vote for the Democrat. Three, the Democrat for Obama. Four, the Democrat for Clinton. Five, the Democrat who hates both candidate and will not vote, or will vote for McCain. Six, a Democrat who like Obama, but if he loses will vote McCain. And Seven, a Democrat who likes Clinton, and if she loses will vote McCain.
There are, of course, more possibilities, but those above will be sufficient. As you can see, there are way more options for McCain to gain more votes than the Democrats. And as of now, Obama and Clinton seem to hate each other. On the other side, McCain is sitting back and laughing at all of this. He is taking the opportunity to travel to allies like England and become more acquainted with the leaders. He is making speeches on his plans as President, and discussing the differences between him and President George W. Bush.
McCain, unlike what Clinton has done, has kept his mouth silent. He is not personally attacking the other candidates, and is trying to strengthen his campaign, and not trying to ruin others. With this strategy, McCain will go on to the White House as President. If you don’t like that, then go tell your Democrats to get it together.
Oh, and if you missed it, McCain’s last speech about foreign policy and separating himself from President Bush, he identified with Herbert Hoover, a Democrat.
